Rajasthan: Outrage after video shows over 25 stray dogs shot dead in a village

A video showing at least two people in Kumawas Village in the Nawalgarh region of the Jhunjhunu region of Rajasthan, a video that attracted and killed at least two people triggered widespread anger. The murders took place on 2 and 3 August, but the police just started to act after the video appeared on social media on Wednesday.

Now widespread video footage, showing two people who drive motorcycles while shooting at street dogs and leave their bodies on the streets and fields of the village. Partially visible and a third person to ride a second motorcycle follows the action and sees it to the film. This remains unclear whether the individual is directly involved in crime.

Police detected the defendants

After the preliminary investigation, the police described one of the defendants as Shyochand Bavariya, who lives in the village of Dumra. A lawsuit against him under various parts of the Animal Cruelty Law and the Arms Law was recorded.
Police Officer Jhunjhunu confirmed the reality of the video and said that more investigation continued. Upadhyay, “We are aware of a video showing a person in the village of Kumawas. Urgent steps have been taken to investigate the issue,” he said. Baş Constable Shubkaran was appointed to lead the local investigation reported by TOI.

Public opinion demands solid action

The incident received condemnation from the animal rights Groups and local residents call more strict legal measures and more powerful practices to prevent such actions of persecution. (With inputs from TOI)
