Rajya Sabha Chairman accepts merger of seven AAP MPs with BJP

Rajya Sabha Chairman and Deputy Chairman CP Radhakrishnan on Monday, April 27, 2026, accepted the merger of seven Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
With the merger of 7 AAP MPs, the BJP’s strength in the Rajya Sabha increases to 113, while AAP falls to three.
