Ram Mandir donations theft row LIVE: Supreme Court hears pleas seeking probe

Senior lawyer calls for donation records to be released; CJI was wary of false donations allegations and said inventory should be maintained
Senior advocate Devadatt Kamat argues that there will be records of donations made and the records should be published for devotees to know. He says devotees gave silver and gold and there were reports of them “disappearing”. He adds that inventory must exist and be published.
But the CJI said that if someone accidentally donated diamonds etc. He calls for more practicality, saying he can make the claim. However, he acknowledges that an inventory must be kept and accounted for.
