Ramchander Rao Slams Govt Over ‘Unfulfilled Guarantees’, Seeks Meet with Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao criticized the Congress government for allegedly failing to fulfill its six guarantees and other election promises even after being in power for more than two and a half years.

In an open letter to Prime Minister A. Revanth Reddy, he sought an urgent appointment with the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to highlight the grievances of the people of Telangana. He said if the Congress leadership did not facilitate the meeting, it would amount to betrayal of the people of the state.

Rao stated that during the 2023 Assembly elections, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi toured Telangana and personally assured the people about the implementation of basic guarantees affecting the voters. However, he claimed that women, farmers, students, youth, elderly and poor families are still waiting for the promised programmes.

He added that the BJP was ready to take the issue directly to Rahul Gandhi and demanded that the Prime Minister respond immediately and arrange the meeting.
