Rapist asks if he can call his mother when arrested | News

A rapist asked if he could call his parents while police officers were arresting him.

In 2024, Jack-Leland Webster, of Cedar Road, Earl Shilton, Leicester, accused the victim of cheating on her with her ex-boyfriend and as she tried to leave the flat, he closed the doors to prevent her leaving.

Webster, formerly Jack Malone, got on top of the victim and strangled her before sexually assaulting her.

While on bail, he purchased numerous fake social media accounts to contact and follow the victim, as well as her family and friends, in breach of no-contact conditions.

Webster was found guilty of rape and strangulation at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday, April 8. He had pleaded guilty to stalking the victim at a previous hearing.

He was sentenced to nine years and five months in prison.
