Keira Knightley is a spy ‘on the run’ as she is spotted in A-listers’ favourite £200 trainers filming scenes for Netflix series Black Doves

Keira Knightley, an undercover agent trying to unravel a political conspiracy in Black Doves, is frequently on the run.

And her character Helen Webb in the Netflix series seems to have secured the latest must-have trainers for the job.

Ms Knightley, 40, was spotted wearing a pair of £200 Autry Reelwind shoes while filming scenes for the second series of the popular spy thriller in London.

Brits have gone wild since the Texas brand opened its first store in the capital in May.

Trainers are Hollywood favorites; Orlando Bloom, Pedro Pascal and Reese Witherspoon have been seen wearing the brand, which was founded in 1982.

The Bend It Like Beckham actress paired her suede sneakers with navy blue tights and a burgundy hoodie.

She looked chic in a camel wrap trench coat while filming other scenes in London.

The first season of Black Doves became one of Netflix’s most talked about series in the UK; It was praised for its stylish visuals, twisty spy plot and standout performances from Ms. Knightley and co-star Ben Whishaw.

The series, which also stars Happy Valley actress Sarah Lancashire, reached 60 million views in the week it was broadcast in December.

Ms. Knightley reprises her role as Ms. Webb, the wife of a Conservative politician and leading a double life as an undercover agent, for the second season.

But this time, the stakes are higher than ever as new threats emerge and old secrets reemerge.

Much of the character’s wardrobe was custom-made, and costume designer Ian Fulcher said he was inspired by the ‘golden age of spy dramas’, using concept boards featuring images of Catherine Deneuve and Grace Kelly.

‘Oh, and the odd sight of a British MP’s wife looking effortlessly chic – [there is] “Not too many of those,” he added.
