Reform defector left Tories after mayoral candidate selection row involving Theresa May’s husband

Former Prime Minister Barones Theresa May’s husband is overlapping on top of the last defect to reform because of anger on the election of candidates under the leadership of Kemi Badenoch.
IPSWich -based businessman John Howard, president of the IPSWich Conservative Association for a decade, suggested herself as the Mayor of Norfolk next year and the Tora for Suffolk.
The property developer, a well -known figure in the local media, believed that as a party’s active member, his business skills and experience made him a strong contestant for a short list.
However, after an interview with two evaluators, including Baroness May’s husband, Sir Philip May and Candidate Committee President Clare Hambro, was rejected from a short list of five.

Mr. Howard told Independent As a Toray member who spent the previous five years by trying to defend the unusual, he was a “last straw ,, and now escaped to reform.
He said: orum I have been trying to defend the unavailable for the last five years.
“Applying for the mayor was the last straw to realize that the Conservative Party did not listen to the bases.
“I am really aligned with all the reform policies because most of the TORY members will be quite honest. And I think more are actually awakening to the point that reform is the party’s party.”
He described his speech with Sir Philip and Mrs. Hamro as “very pleasant ve and added: orum I don’t know if they are vetors.”
However, a senior Tory source said: “I find it difficult to understand why a candidate with a strong business history, good media artist and strong local routes will be rejected from control. The party did not learn from the failures that brought us to the point of extinction.
“The problem is that they want candidates who do not have a personality and cannot think for themselves.”
It is understood that Sir Philip is only an evaluator duty for candidates and that he was not in the committee that decides for short lists and elections.
A conservative spokesman refused to comment on the election process and said that the Mayor of Norfolk and the Suffolk candidate will be announced in time.
Another source of torry said Mr. Howard failed in the assessment center competence tasks.
