Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha’s husband Mark Adderley is suspended from the Green Party after posting ‘antisemitism rants’ on YouTube

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha’s husband, Mark Adderley, has been suspended from the Green Party over ‘anti-Semitic rumors’ that liken Israel to Nazi Germany and accuse the Mossad of carrying out terrorist attacks against Jews.

Adderley, who is the Greens candidate for Crystal Palace and Upper Norwood in the Croydon election, regularly uploads content to her YouTube channel, accompanied by her husband, sharing her views on Israel and its government.

Some state that ‘Israeli false flag’ operations were behind the assassination of US political figure Charlie Kirk and the missile attack on a British base in Cyprus.

The Green Party moved to sack Adderley on Friday night, following concerns raised by antisemitism groups and political figures including Communities Minister Steve Reed MP.

The candidate reacted harshly on social media, saying he was ‘truly, deeply, sincerely disgusted’ by the decision.

Adderley added that he had spent ‘his whole life fighting racism in all its forms’.

He said: ‘I stood shoulder to shoulder with my Jewish friends, comrades and communities against real hatred.’

Sawalha called her husband’s suspension a “total disgrace.”

Mark Adderley, husband of Nadia Sawalha, star of the TV series Loose Women, was suspended from the Green Party on the grounds that there were ‘anti-Semitic discourses’ in the videos uploaded to his YouTube channel.

One of his videos blamed Benjamin Netanyahu for the mass murder at Bondi Beach and endangering Jewish people 'worldwide'.

In his Instagram post, Sawalha directed his followers to a video discussing Adderley’s dismissal; he called it “absolutely disgusting”, but still declared his continued support for the Green Party.

Alongside the post, Sawalha wrote: ‘Link in bio or stories.. Note: Anti-Netanyahus genocide is NOT anti-Semitic. Side note one of the things Mark was suspended for was saying many members of the Labor Party cabinet were #s***wadsintes! Let’s make this a trend, guys!’

In the video published on YouTube, Sawalha said her husband was in the ‘punishment phase’ [speaking] We stand with the Palestinians in a way that very few people ‘dare’ to do so.

He added that “even though Mark has been treated very, very badly by the Green Party” and that he has done so “in a really lazy way”, he “will not stop his membership in the Green Party”.

Sawalha said he ‘will not stop campaigning for the Green Party’ because he believes ‘the Green Party is the only party right now that is not completely rotten to its core.’

He continued: ‘So who knows, maybe I’ll be kicked out of the Green Party. I don’t know, but I think it would be stupid because after all, I’m actually on your side here.’

But Reed welcomed the move and ‘congratulated’ Greens leader Zack Polanski on ‘the first step in ridding his party of antisemitism’.

Adderley’s suspension follows the publication of a series of videos on social media in recent months that led to accusations of antisemitism against him.

In a video published in March, Adderley said: ‘There’s a word called Lebensraum, it means ‘living room’ and that’s exactly what [Adolf] Hitler wanted it in all the countries around him.

‘The weird thing about historical maps is that when you look at how Hitler expanded Germany or tried to expand Germany, it’s almost exactly the same. [Israeli prime minister, Binyamin] Netanyahu is doing it in the Middle East.’

He added: ‘Israel is the greatest threat to the sovereignty of every nation on this planet because they are the ‘chosen people’. He was deceived. It’s a cult, just a cult.’

The same video seen by The Times, which has since been deleted, speculated about Kirk’s killing.

‘I’m telling you now, Charlie Kirk was not shot by this man’ [the suspect Tyler Robinson]. He was taken out. This is the deep state [Israel’s] “Mossad intelligence, CIA,” he said. ‘It’s the same damn thing; CIA, Mossad, everything is hermetically sealed.’

Two days after the Bondi Beach attack in December, in which 15 people attending Hanukkah celebrations in Sydney, Australia, were shot dead, Adderley uploaded a video denouncing Netanyahu as ‘the only person who has made the lives of the Jewish people infinitely more dangerous’.

Adderley added the caption: ‘Once again Israel’s Angel of Death BLAMES everyone for the horrific violence at Bondi Beach but never lets go of the thought that he is on his own. [sic] ‘He is responsible for endangering the lives of Jewish people and Muslims worldwide.’

In another video taken in March after a kamikaze drone, believed to have been fired by Hezbollah militants in Lebanon, struck a British base in Cyprus, Adderley said it was an ‘Israeli false flag?’ He questioned whether or not.

He said: ‘The media and governments that support Western Zionists and are complicit with Israel will all say, ‘Well, it must have come from Hezbollah,’ he added.

Adderley also described Home Affairs Minister Shabana Mahmood as a ‘puppet of the Zionist state’ after she announced that the Government would appeal the decision that banning Palestine Action was unlawful.

Adderley said: ‘You are an absolutely disgraceful politician,’ he said. ‘You can try to soften your rapport with right-wing, fascist sympathizers, Zionist-s***.’

Adderley argued he should not be suspended and accused Labor of trying to ‘recreate the Corbyn antisemitism psychodrama’ of recent years.

He wrote on his social media:’I really thought the Green Party needed to be different and offered a glimmer of hope in the dark, ugly world of British Party Politics.

‘Instead they have fallen into what appears to be the first hurdle in Labor’s efforts to recreate the Corbyn antisemitism psychodrama of a few years ago.

‘If we are to change policy for the better, we have to do some things differently. We must not be afraid to say things that established politics do not allow: that Zionism is racism, that opposing a fascist, apartheid state is not racism, that it is not antisemitic, that it does not mean uniting the entire Jewish People with the Netanyahu Regime, and that standing with the oppressed should NEVER be something that will get someone suspended.’

The Green Party has previously said the videos do not reflect the party’s views.

The Daily Mail has received confirmation from the Green Party that Adderley has been suspended.
