Two more arrests after Heathrow ‘pepper spray’ robbery

Two more men have been arrested in connection with a suitcase robbery at Heathrow Airport in which pepper spray caused injuries, the Met Police said.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault, and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. Both remain in custody, police said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack on the Terminal 3 multi-storey car park on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had their luggage stolen after they got off the parking lot elevator.

A 3-year-old girl was among the 21 people injured in the incident. 5 people who were hospitalized were treated and discharged.

Police were called at around 08:10 local time following reports that several people were injured by a harmful substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack, which the Met said was isolated and not considered terrorism, caused train delays and the brief partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and Terminal 3 car park.
