Rep Andy Ogles pushes anti-birthright citizenship proposal after SCOTUS ruling

Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., on Tuesday accused the U.S. Supreme Court of betraying the nation and introduced a proposal to crack down on birthright citizenship.
The nation’s supreme court on Tuesday ruled against an executive order President Donald Trump issued last year that targeted the idea that babies born on U.S. soil are entitled to American citizenship.
The 14th Amendment says in part: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
