Repair, Renovation, Restoration (RRR) Scheme For Village Ponds

Vijayawada: NTR regional collector Dr G. Lakshmisha emphasized that the village pools are critical for rural growth and that water storage, groundwater charge, environmental protection and agricultural productivity that raises the income of farmers.
In order to maximize these benefits for pools, he emphasized the importance of using the repair, renewal and restoration (RRR) scheme of central and state governments.
On Tuesday, Dr. Lakshmisha said that tanks play a central role in meeting the irrigation and drinking water needs and should be protected from rape while improving their storage capacity.
He called for special works to ensure the charge of groundwater and to strengthen water protection practices. He added that sustainable water management requires active community participation as well as the support of self -confident village systems.
Dr. As part of the RRR plan, Lakshmisha said that 14.19 Crore -worth offers were drawn for development studies in eight tanks spread to Vijayawada rural and reddigudem latches.
The collector directed the authorities to prepare detailed project reports (DPRS) in line with the suggestions made by experts in order to achieve the goals of the program.
Dr Lakshmisha also emphasized the tourism potential of the pools, strengthening sets, beautification work and walking slopes, saying that it can help to attract visitors as well as serving their primary goals.
