Repeat Offender Arrested for Robbing Delivery Executive in Miyapur

Hyderabad:Miyapur police arrested a criminal who robbed delivery boy and cash transferred through mobile banking app during a late night attack in Miyapur area.

The arrested accused has been identified as Basodi Abhishek, who is involved in various property crimes registered at Madhuranagar, Miyapur, Jubilee Hills and Gachibowli police stations.

According to police, the victim was about to deliver an order near Road No. 18, Gopal Rao Nagar, when two men on scooters stopped him near Shilpa Avenue Colony. It was alleged that the duo attacked him, threatened to kill him and forced him to unlock his mobile phone. The accused then transferred Rs 900 from the victim’s bank account to his own via his mobile phone and robbed him of Rs 5,000 in cash before fleeing the scene on a scooter.

Miyapur police arrested Abhishek and recovered Rs 400 from his possession. The accused and his friends targeted people traveling alone at night in isolated areas across Cyberabad Commissionerate.

Police advised citizens to be careful when traveling at night, to avoid deserted roads as much as possible and to immediately report suspicious people or vehicles to the police.
