What does BMA say?
BMA claims that the wages of resident doctors have fallen much more than the rest of the population since 2008-09.

Doctors start a five -day strike in the UK
Hello and Welcome to our political scope Rolling England with the headlines this morning, when the new industrial action hit NHS.
After not getting an agreement on the restoration of the British Medical Association and the government’s payment restoration in the UK, the organized doctors started a strike action.
Up to 50,000 people started a strike at 7 am and the action aimed to last five days by 7 in the morning on Wednesday, July 30th.
The public is asked to stand out for NHS care during strike. GP said that the operations are open as usual and emergency care and that A & E will continue to be present with 111.
Keir Starmer made last -minute charm to the resident doctors, saying that the strikes will “cause real damage”.
Health Secretary West Streeting warned that industrial action “greatly weaken the entire trade union movement”.
In an article for The Guardian on Thursday, Streeting said that the decision to force BMA to up to 2023-24 and 2024-25 was unreasonable and unlikely to force new strikes immediately after a wage increase.
