Arsenal became Premier League champions, ending the 22-year wait for the English title since the Invincibles in 2004.
Manchester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth on Tuesday night and Arsenal beat Burnley on Tuesday to give the Gunners an unassailable lead at the top.
Mikel Arteta’s men have finished second in each of the last three seasons but have finally managed to overtake Pep Guardiola’s side and call themselves the King of England.
And there could be more glory to come as they face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final next week.
Arsenal will claim the Premier League trophy after their last game away at Crystal Palace on Sunday and their tickets will now be gold dust for their most loyal fans.
Arsenal ends 22-year Premier League title drought after Manchester City fail
Manchester City brought the championship to Arsenal by drawing with Bournemouth in their penultimate match.
Arteta and his side have been ridiculed for their ‘second-again’ position as the Premier League’s bridesmaids, but that will culminate with their first major trophy since winning the FA Cup in their first season in 2020.
Their last team to win the Premier League was 2004, when Thierry Henry and Co went unbeaten for the entire 38-game season.
Since then, Manchester United, Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and even Leicester City have held the title.
