Wife’s chilling remark after murdering husband of 27 years | News

A wife has made a chilling statement to police after killing her husband of 27 years with a vegetable knife at their home in Greater Manchester.

Daryl Berman, 72, of Butterstile Lane, Prestwich, Bury, told authorities the stab wound suffered by David Berman, 84, was caused by the knife falling on him after stumbling into the kitchen.

Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard pathologists concluded the chest wound was caused by an injury rather than an accident.

Police body camera footage from the scene shows Daryl Berman asking: “‘Why am I so calm?'”

The jury found Daryl Berman guilty of murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 12 years.
