Man charged over fires at Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market

A man was accused of illuminating fires and threatening a people who tried to intervene in Melbourne’s famous queen Victoria market.
Emergency services were called on Friday after 23:00 on Friday after four small fire reports on the food stalls near the Peel St Market in Melbourne CBD.
Police claim that the man threatens a people who are trying to intervene and put forward fires before the emergency services arrive at the scene.
The man was not physically injured and none of the stores were clear during the alleged incident.
A 38 -year -old man, who had no fixed address, was then arrested at the scene and has been accused of criminal damage for fire and illegal attack.


He was detained on Saturday to appear in front of the Melbourne Magistrate Criminal Court.
Police said they were working with security in the market to report the owners of the stops to the damage.
Stalele holder Sev Ali, 20,000 dollars of fruit juice machine was damaged in the fire, he said.
