Revealed: The 13 men accused of involvement with husband charged with ‘drugging and raping’ wife

The names of 13 men accused of conspiring with a husband in his 60s to drug and rape his unconscious wife have been revealed for the first time.

The men, aged between 28 and 73, include an ambulance paramedic in a photo taken while meeting Prince Harry during the royal visit.

Also among these a former nightclub DJ, a football club president and university technician.

It is alleged that a series of attacks took place at the couple’s address in Greater Stockport, Manchester, after the woman was given the substance.

The husband, who cannot be named to protect his wife’s identity, confessed Monday to crimes including rape, assault by penetration and sexual assault.

In addition to drugging himself, he denies several other accusations related to alleged sexual abuse that is said to have occurred over a 20-year period.

The identities of those accused of conspiracy can now be disclosed for the first time after the court decision expires.

Of these, 12 pleaded not guilty to a range of offenses including rape, conspiracy to commit rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault and conspiracy to administer drugs with intent.

He pleaded guilty to charges including one of conspiracy to commit rape.

Ambulance paramedic Jonathan Kirk, 43, of Stockport, denies charges of rape, conspiracy to commit rape and conspiracy to commit assault by penetration between 2023 and 2025.

The oldest of the defendants, 73-year-old pensioner Graham Brougham, has been accused of the same crimes as Kirk for two years. He declared that he was not guilty.

Meanwhile, former DJ Robert Stewart, 70, a divorced father-of-two and grandfather from Stockport, denies two counts of rape between September and November 2025 and one count of conspiracy to rape.

The youngest defendant, Mohammed Sabir, 28, of Heald Green, Stockport, faces five charges: three counts of rape, conspiracy to commit rape and conspiracy to commit assault by penetration between 2023 and 2025. He denies all of this.

Married father of two, Alan Keelan, 42, from Manchester, works as an accounting clerk and coaches Wythenshawe Benchill Celtic Junior Football Club, one of the city’s oldest youth teams.

Keelan denies two allegations of rape and one count of conspiracy to rape between June and November 2025.

Unemployed Sean Peers, 37, of Stockport, denies assaulting his wife by penetration between September 2024 and November 2025 and conspiracy to commit sexual assault by penetration.

Former Taunton Football Club chief executive Karl Lindsay (55), from Taunton, Somerset, is charged not with assaulting the victim but with conspiracy to administer a substance with intent over a two-year period.

The father of five, who has been married for more than 34 years, is also accused of conspiracy to rape and sexual assault by penetration during the same period. He denies the accusations.

Richard Townsend, 37, of Greater Manchester, denies one count of assault by penetration and one count of conspiracy to commit assault by penetration.

Daniel Rayner, 41, of Whitstable, Kent, faces the same charges as Lindsay and has also pleaded not guilty

And David Graves, 59, of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, denies conspiracy to commit rape, conspiracy to commit assault by penetration and conspiracy to commit sexual assault.

At the previous hearing it was said that the police were still looking for another suspect.

The only defendant who accepted the accusation Keith Fotheringham, 58.

Married with two children, he works as a technician at the University of Dundee and lives in the Scottish city.

In February 2026, he pleaded guilty to four offenses between 2023 and 2025: conspiracy to rape, conspiracy to commit assault by penetration, conspiracy to administer a substance with intent and assault by penetration.

The unidentified husband pleaded guilty Monday to five counts of rape, six counts of assault by penetration and three counts of sexual assault between 2022 and 2025.

He also admitted a charge of sharing intimate photographs or films during a short hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester.

The husband denies drugging his wife, among many other accusations.

All defendants remain in custody except Wallace, Kirk, Brougham, Keelan and Peers, who have been released on bail.

The trial is scheduled to begin on September 1 and is expected to last 12 weeks.
