Revenue Inspector Caught With ₹7.12 cr Disproportionate Assets

KAKINADA: ACB sleuths raided the residences of senior assistant/mandal revenue inspector Chodapureddy Siva Ram Kumar (36), working in the director-5, in-charge record room, in the district collector’s office on Friday and found disproportionate assets worth $7,12,90,180 and 780 grams of gold ornaments.
ACB officials obtained four search warrants against the accused officer from special judge Rajamahendravaram for the hearing of SPE and ACB cases on Thursday and conducted raids at places like SRMT Apartments in Kakinada, collection office, Satyavathi Heights in Cheediga village in Kakinada Rural mandal and residences of Chintala Srinivasan (father-in-law of the accused officer) on Tilak Street.
Officials said a 3-bedroom flat in Block A of SRMT Apartment in Kakinada worth `1,24,14,500, a 4-bedroom flat in SRMT Apartment worth `1,77,62,600 in the name of his wife; and a three-bedroom flat in Viva City Apartments in Kondapur village in Serilingampally Mandal of Telangana’s Rangareddy district in the name of accused civil servant Siva Ram Kumar and his wife.
1,082 acres of agricultural land worth ₹18.40 lakh in the name of his wife in Kotapadu village in Rangampeta mandal; 0.543 kuruş agricultural land in Kotapadu village in the name of his wife; and a vacant space of 375 square meters at Ramaraopet in Kakinada worth Rs 1.20 crore.
Movable properties like three cars worth ₹98.73 lakh, gold ornaments weighing around 700 grams, cash of $20,000, household items worth ₹2,712,800 and electronic gadgets like mobile phones and laptops worth ₹3.20 lakh. Authorities reported that searches continue.
