Revised Market Value of Land From May 28

Hyderabad:The revised market value of land in Telangana will come into effect from May 28, as announced earlier by the state government. Official sources said the issue came up prominently in the Cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Although the government has not made an official statement on the revised land market values, official sources said the Prime Minister has assured ministers that another meeting will be held in the next two or three days to finalize the revised rates.
According to sources, ministers expressed differing views on the revised market values proposed by the stamp and registration department, leading to extensive discussions in the Cabinet. Given the differing views, the Prime Minister reportedly decided to hold another round of talks to reach consensus on the revised values before issuing final orders.
Sources said the Prime Minister made it clear during the meeting that the revised market values will be implemented without any delay from May 28, in line with the government’s earlier announcement. The revision in market values is expected to impact property listings statewide; Registration fees are expected to increase after the new rates are implemented.
