Rhetoric over ISIS brides nothing to do with the women themselves

“I’ve said this before, but my mother had a saying, ‘If you make your bed, you sleep in it. And as far as I’m concerned, I have nothing but contempt for these people.”
That was Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s verdict when asked about the possibility of repatriating a group of Australian women detained with their children in the Al-Roj detention camp in Syria over alleged links to the Islamic State.
