Richard Bezant: Detectives appeal for dash-cam footage as they continue to probe alleged Hocking murder

Detectives are using dashcam footage as they continue to investigate the alleged murder of a 58-year-old man in Perth’s north.
University student Santosh Kumar Boojhawon has been charged with the murder of Richard Bezant after allegedly stabbing him in the neck at Dimitrios Court in Hocking around 6.45am on Tuesday.
Mr Bezant was taken to Joondalup Health Campus but could not be saved.
Both men knew each other.
On Thursday police said they were appealing to members of the public to come forward with dashcam footage showing vehicles traveling north and south on Wanneroo Road, between Ocean Reef Road and Dundebar Road, between 6.15am and 7am on Tuesday.

Mr Boojhawon appeared in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody.
His locked Instagram profile states that he is originally from Mauritius and studied at Curtin University.
The 27-year-old actor will appear at Stirling Gardens Magistrates’ Court on October 29.

The cul-de-sac was cordoned off by police on Tuesday, while detectives and forensic experts in blue overalls were seen outside a house near Wanneroo Road.
Forensics appeared to focus on the area around a caravan parked at the front of the property.
Local Simone, who did not want her surname used, said she watched paramedics load Mr. Bezant into the ambulance.
“We knew something was going on but we weren’t sure… we saw him running away quickly,” he told The West on Tuesday.
“About 25 people called me because they knew we lived in a cul-de-sac.
“This is so sad.”
