Richard Marles seeks fishing help, Musk’s ‘historic’ Odyssey pitch

Marles has work to do
Richard Marles claimed in April that the “international rules-based order” (let’s call it IRBO) remained healthy because Indonesian “fishermen” respected Australia’s maritime borders. How clear the IRBO was in these small Indonesian fishing villages was a topic independent Senator Fatima Payman decided to explore.
Payman asked the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) for the latest data on how often Indonesian “fishermen” do not comply with that rules-based order. According to AFMA, between July 1 last year and June 4 this year, there were 103 enforcement bans related to illegal fishing.
