Rising tide of hatred as Islamophobia tarnishes nation

12 September 2025 13:59 | News

One of all three Australians expressed negative views against Muslims and hatred continues.

The findings of a report struggling with Islamophobia Aftab Malik by the private ambassador were published by the Prime Minister on Friday.

“The Australians should be safe and feel themselves at home in any community,“ he said to journalists in Sydney.

“The aim of the Australians based on their religious beliefs is not only an attack on them, but also an attack on our fundamental values.

“We must stigmatize the hate, fear and prejudice that leads Islamophobia and division in our society.”

The government is avoiding proposals by the anti-Jewish anti-Elçiye Jillian Segal, as the Labor Party wants to deal with two reports of the Labor Party.

Malik said that Islamophobic events were “rapidly increasing” and Islamophobia recorded 150 percent by November 2024.

The research expressed negative opinions about Muslims, but the research was rated as the most watched group.

Mal The truth is that Islamophobia in Australia was permanent, sometimes ignored and rejected at other times, but never was completely handled, ”he said.

“This report shows that Islamophobia remains deeply rooted and therefore requires equal urgency to other discriminatory practices.”

In order to combat hatred against the Jewish people, Segal proposed that Australia’s adoption of the definition of anti-Semitism of the International Holocaust Commemoration Alliance (IHRA), some groups unite Israel’s criticisms.

The report reduces the financing of the government to universities, programs or academicians who have acted against anti-Semitism or cannot take action against them.

He also argues that public financing agreements with festivals or cultural institutions should include conditions that allow the termination of the agreement when they encourage or facilitate the Jewish people.

Ms. Segal was appointed in July 2024 in response to increasing anti-Semitism in Australia after Hamas’s 7 October Israeli attack.

Mr. Malik’s three -year appointment was taken a few months after the announcement of Mrs. Segal.
