The Masters 2026: Robert MacIntyre faces action after angry Masters gesture

Scotsman Robert MacIntyre could face disciplinary action at The Masters after pointing his middle finger at the 15th green during his quadruple bogey.
The 29-year-old dropped to the bottom of the leaderboard after scoring nine on par five, eventually posting a score of over 80.
The left-handed player made this move after approaching the pond guarding the front of the field.
He found the water again after taking a penalty shot and then flew to the back of the court on his second down.
MacIntyre also reacted angrily to his second shot on the 17th and did not speak to the waiting media following the round.
Masters organizers are known for their strict rules and MacIntyre could be in further trouble after nine out of 39 matches effectively ended his chances of tournament glory.
The 29-year-old left-hander has been singled out by some observers as a potential contender after finishing fourth in the last Players Championship.
At the Texas Open last week, he became the leader after the third round, but was passed by JJ Spahn and finished second.
Last champion Rory McIlroy and American Sam Burns led The Masters with a score of 5-under-par 67 after the first round.
