River City actor Iain Robertson found guilty of rape

Former River City actor Iain Robertson has been found guilty of raping a woman and assaulting two others.

The 45-year-old actor, who played Stevie O’Hara in the BBC soap, was found guilty of five offenses, including domestic violence against women, between 2004 and 2019.

During his trial at the High Court in Glasgow, Robertson was described by witnesses as “violent” and “controlling”.

The sentence was postponed until July 23.
