This iconic rocker made an unconventional appearance this week when he was spotted at a low-key supermarket with his longtime girlfriend Meegan Hodges.

Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, 60, real name Saul Hudson, swapped his guitar for a wheelbarrow while keeping his famous curly locks under a backwards baseball cap.

He may be packing the basics, but the star, whose work on classic song Sweet Child o’ Mine was named the best guitar riff ever in a 2022 poll, was still as cool as ever in a black leather motorcycle jacket and jeans.

Meanwhile, former model Megan, 57, who has dated the musician on and off for more than a decade, was wearing a knit poncho and beanie.

Slash has previously admitted that Guns N’ Roses would be ‘canceled’ if it came up in the internet age.

“Of course we couldn’t perform well in this environment on so many different levels,” Slash began.

‘But I mean, a lot of things from that time wouldn’t be things that you think are acceptable now,’ he added.

‘I’m glad there was no internet back then! It would be a completely different world… most of everything that happens [Guns N’ Roses] in this day and age would have us cancelled,’

But the British-born guitarist is no stranger to risky behavior.

A former heroin addict, he was diagnosed in 2001 with cardiomyopathy, a form of congestive heart failure caused by years of alcohol and drug abuse.

Although he was given six days to six weeks to live, he survived thanks to physical therapy and the installation of a defibrillator and has been clean and sober since 2006.

In 2024, Meegan’s daughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, tragically died at the age of 25; The Los Angeles County medical examiner said the cause of her death was hydrogen sulfide poisoning and the ‘manner of death was suicide.’

Authorities said ‘Knight was found unresponsive by law enforcement during a welfare check at a private residence on July 19’ and was pronounced dead at 3 p.m. local time.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website states that Hydrogen sulfide is a ‘colourless, flammable, highly toxic gas’ and that symptoms of acute exposure ‘include nausea, headache, delirium, imbalance, tremors, convulsions, and skin and eye irritation.’

The CDC said ‘inhaling high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide can lead to extremely rapid loss of consciousness and death’.

The music stalwart announced the death of his beloved stepdaughter in a heartbreaking statement on Instagram.

“My heart is permanently broken,” Slash said in an emotional Instagram post on July 27, sharing a touching selfie detailing Lucy-Bleu’s pain. ‘I will never stop missing you and remembering what a light of happiness, laughter, creativity and beauty you always were… and still are.’

He continued: ‘You are the brightest light in the lives of so many who love you so much. I take comfort in the hope that you are now at peace. ‘I will love you forever.’
