The podcaster claimed that his team had talked to Harris’ campaign about a possible interview, but Harris ultimately backed out.
“They were just scared,” Rogan said on his show in February 2025. “They could have let him in. I would have held his hand. We would have talked.”
Harris’ campaign disputed that statement, arguing that Rogan’s team made several difficult demands regarding scheduling and interview conditions, according to the book “Fight: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House.”

He also said that while he won’t be voting for Harris, he doesn’t intend to do a hostile interview.
“I’m not going to be hostile, I’m not going to be an asshole, I’m not going to be… I have no desire to turn this into a viral clip thing. I’m not trying to do that,” Rogan said earlier this year. “I never wanted this to be done to me, so why would I do this to anyone else?”
This is believed to be helped by Trump’s casual and extended appearances on top podcasts like Rogan’s carry him to victory In the 2024 elections.
