Rotten eggs used to make cakes and donuts, low-quality coconut powder repackaged; illegal food units busted in Hyderabad

Hyderabad Police and Commissioner’s Task Force teams arrested seven persons in a series of coordinated raids and busted several illegal food production units across the cityAdulterated and unhygienic products worth lakhs were seized.

In the biggest operation, officials from Golconda district arrested 31-year-old trader Nakoul Marotiyaa in Begum Bazar for running an illegal coconut powder manufacturing unit under the name ‘Balaji Purushotham Coconut Store’. The accused was found to have repackaged low-quality coconut powder, cheaply procured from Karnataka, into branded packets and sold it as genuine products without a license or food safety certificate.
