Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor may be left temporarily homeless after his embarrassing exit from the royal family because a new home in Norfolk “may not be ready in time” to accept him. The former Duke of York was exiled from his 30-bed Windsor mansion last year following years of controversy around his friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Reports suggest he will vacate the Royal Lodge, where he has lived since 2003, by this Easter and plans to move to a private estate on King Charles’ Sandringham estate in Norfolk. But according to Hello!, with ongoing work on the five-bedroom Marsh Farm, “a lot more work needs to be done before it’s ready for occupancy and could potentially leave Andrew without accommodation for a short time.”
Royal commentators say it is unlikely the Queen’s youngest son will be allowed to stay at Windsor during the interim period. “The royal family hopes to draw a line to the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor row in 2026,” biographer Robert Jobson said. “Only time will tell whether this will put an end to the lurid speculation about him, but that is doubtful.”
