The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been accused of “utter hypocrisy” after reports they may want to spend more time in England. Talk TV presenter Jeremy Kyle claimed the couple, who left senior royals and moved to the US in 2020, were acting “like politicians”.

Kyle said Prince Harry and Meghan had been critical of the Royal Family and Britain, but “all of a sudden” they wanted their children Archie and Lilibet to have the titles of prince and princess.

He said: “This is complete hypocrisy on both their part. And again, a bit like politicians, don’t they know that the British public, the silent majority, have an opinion of them that quite frankly will not change?”

Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter said “that’s not going to change” and said they wanted “the best of both worlds”.

It comes days after Harry and Meghan and their two children were reunited with King Charles at the Highgrove Residence.

Reports suggest the Sussexes are considering returning to the UK, using their holiday home in Portugal as a stopover.
