A Los Angeles vegan dinner party attended by Meghan Markle was described as “tasteless” and “rude” by restaurant critic William Sitwell. ‘A Seat At The Table’ was hosted by Emma Grede, British CEO of fashion brand Good American and co-founder of Kim Kardashian’s Skims.
William writes Telegram: “I think I may have witnessed the most terrible, most grotesque, most vulgar, most superficial, most disgusting, most tasteless, most empty and self-indulgent dinner in history. In short, the worst.”
The event, held at the home of designer Kelly Wearstler, included a vegan feast and As Ever wine provided by the Duchess of Sussex herself.
He adds: “Because the likes that were splashed all over Instagram were endless posing in a circle of self-congratulatory, empty admiration before, during and after Wednesday’s party. The whole point was to tell the world that they were there but you weren’t.”
But Emma, seen sitting next to Meghan, described those attending the speech as “the most incredible group of women”, adding that it was “a night of connection… women coming together to share stories, exchange lessons and push each other to greater heights”.
