President Donald Trump has threatened legal action against author Michael Wolff and Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, insisting that a newly released trove of Epstein-related files will exonerate him from wrongdoing.

Trump was aboard Air Force One during its flight to Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday and responded to a reporter’s question about more than 3 million Epstein-related records and personal emails that the Justice Department released on Friday.

“This guy named Wolf was a writer and he appeared to be conspiring with Epstein to harm me,” Trump said. “I didn’t see this myself, but some very important people told me that it not only exonerated me, but was the exact opposite of what people on the radical left were hoping for, that Wolff, a third-rate writer, had conspired with Jeffrey Epstein to harm me, politically or otherwise, and that it had become clear.”

Trump said he was likely to sue Wolff and the Epstein estate because “he was conspiring with Wolff to harm me politically. This is not a friend.”

In a March 2016 email between Epstein and Wolff reviewed by Fox News Digital, Wolff encourages Epstein to “immediately prepare a counter-narrative” to James Patterson’s book about him, “Filthy Rich: A Powerful Billionaire, the Sex Scandal That Unraveled Him, and All the Justice Money Can Buy.”

“You need an urgent counter-narrative for the book,” Wolff writes. “I believe Trump presents an ideal opportunity. It’s a chance to make the story about something other than yourself and at the same time allow yourself to frame your own story.”

“Also, being anti-Trump gives you political cover that you certainly don’t have right now,” Wolff continues.

In an email previously released in February 2016, Wolff suggested to Epstein that the disgraced financier was the “lead” that could end Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

Regarding the latest Epstein dump, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche told Fox News Digital on Friday: “In none of these communications did Epstein suggest that President Trump had done anything criminal or had inappropriate contact with any of his victims, even as he went out of his way to disparage President Trump.”
