Royal fans cheer on Donald Trump’s brutal takedown of Prince Harry | Royal | News

Responding to Harry’s speech during a surprise visit to Ukraine, Mr Trump told reporters: “I know one thing, Prince Harry is not speaking for England, that’s for sure. I think I speak more for England than Prince Harry.” He added: “But I really appreciate his advice.”

He continued to ask: “How is it going? How is his wife? Please give her my regards.”

While many praised Harry for his speech, others said he should stay away from politics.

One user wrote to X: “Strong response from President Trump. Harry may want to think twice about getting involved in US-Russia politics.”

The latter said: “Harry is blurring institutional boundaries and risks dragging the monarchy into territory they are constitutionally obliged to avoid – whether they want it or not.”

Another person added: “A joke with no diplomatic standing and no power to affect change. These titles need to be abolished.”

A fourth user shouted: “He has no business talking politics.”

A fifth commented: “Harry is no authority on anything. Now he’s appointed himself a global ambassador.”

Harry gave a long and impassioned speech at the Kiev Security Forum on Thursday, saying he was not here “as a politician” but as a “service-minded soldier” and a “humanitarian”.

In a rare foray into global affairs, the King’s youngest son turned his attention to the United States (though he did not mention Mr. Trump by name), urging “American leadership” to “fulfill its international treaty obligations” as part of its “enduring role in global security.”

Harry said: “The United States has a unique role in this story. Not only because of its power, but also because America is part of the assurance that Ukraine’s sovereignty and borders will be respected when Ukraine gives up nuclear weapons.”

“This is a moment for American leadership, a moment for America to demonstrate that it can fulfill its international treaty obligations, not out of charity but out of its enduring role in global security and strategic stability.”

Harry’s unannounced visit – his third trip to Ukraine since the start of the war in 2022 – comes just days after he wrapped up a tour of Australia with his wife, the Duchess of Sussex.

Harry stopped in the UK on his trip to Ukraine, but only to transit.
