Royal fans issue same complaint about Meghan Markle’s Christmas playlist | Royal | News

Keeping up with the Christmas spirit, Meghan Markle posted her personal Christmas playlist on Instagram for fans to get inspired, but critics complained that Meghan’s song choice wasn’t very “kid-friendly.” Meghan has released a list of 16 Christmas songs, along with a video featuring clips from her lifestyle series ‘With Love, Meghan’.

Alongside the clip, Meghan wrote: “All the sounds of the season. Here’s a personal list of my favorite holiday songs that rotate through our house this time of year. Wishing you a safe and cozy Christmas! Enjoy!”

But royal fans weren’t convinced by her selection, which included jazz legend Dinah Washington’s “Ole Santa” and Ray Charles’ “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” Some believed it should be more inclusive for children. They wrote: “They’re supposed to have little children. Where are the children’s Christmas songs? Frosty the Snowman, Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer?”

Another critic on social media posted a sarcastic emoji and commented: “This playlist sparks Christmas joy in every 4 and 6 year old.”

Another said: “His kids and Harry would go crazy if they had to listen to this.”

One wrote: “Not 1 nursery rhyme in the mix. No Rudolph. No Santa Claus. No Frosty.”

One social media user simply said: “NOT A CHILDREN’S THEMED SONG. NOT ONE.”

Meghan’s released playlist opened with Norah Jones and Laufey’s ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, followed by Ella Fitzgerald’s ‘Winter Wonderland’ and Ingrid Michaelson’s ‘Looks Like a Cold Cold Winter’.

In the video, Meghan was seen pouring drinks, slicing meat, scrambling eggs and writing on a chalkboard.

Meghan and Prince Harry are thought to be spending a quiet Christmas in Montecito with their six children, Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet.

This means it will be the seventh year that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been unable to attend Royal Family celebrations at Sandringham Estate as the family feud continues.

Harry was once a key member of the family taking part in the traditional march to the St Mary Magdalene Church service, but the pair were not present at the family event.
