Police on Alert as Intelligence Flags Possible BRS Protests Across Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana police were on high alert after the SIT summoned former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to his residence in Nandinagar for questioning regarding the alleged illegal phone tapping case during the BRS regime.

Intelligence reports indicate that BRS leaders and activists may hold large gatherings and protests in Nandinagar and possibly other areas across the state. Planned activities include rallies, dharnas, road closures and burning of statues that could lead to disruption of public order.

All field officers were instructed to monitor the situation closely and take precautions to avoid any negative incidents, especially considering the upcoming municipal elections.
