Russia 8.7 magnitude earthquake: Tsunami warning issued for Japan and US, including Alaska and Hawaii

An earthquake of 8.7 -magnitude on the shores of Russia launched a tsunami warning and followed warnings on almost all western coasts of the United States and in some parts of Japan.

The earthquake was shot at AEST at around 9.30 and was measured as shallow at 19.3km depth with the US Geological Survey.
