Israel kills senior Hamas official Ra’ad Sa’ad, Oct. 7 architect in Gaza

Israel announced on Saturday that it had killed Ra’ad Sa’ad, head of the Weapons Production Headquarters in Hamas’ military wing and one of the architects of October 7.
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said “Sa’ad was one of the last remaining senior militants in the Gaza Strip and a close friend of Marwan Issa, the deputy head of Hamas’s military wing. He held many senior positions and was a central figure in the organization’s military leadership.” wrote to x.

An IDF official told Fox News that Sa’ad had been working to restore the terrorist group’s capabilities and weapons production in recent months, violating a U.S.-brokered ceasefire. Sa’ad previously served as the Gaza Brigade commander and is considered one of the founders of Hamas’ military wing, the IDF official told Fox News. He was considered one of the most senior Hamas members remaining in Gaza. The IDF official said Sa’ad had knowledge of matters related to the Hamas leadership and was a central figure in the planning of the October 7 massacre.
