Russia rages as Putin’s puppet has meltdown over ‘CIA attack’ | World | News

A Kremlin puppet spoke out on Russian national television, claiming that American spies from the CIA were behind the alleged attack on Vladimir Putin’s official residence. Moscow claimed that a house used by Putin in the Novgorod region was subject to a drone attack in the last few days of December. Both Ukraine and the West have denied any involvement in the incident, with Kyiv President Volodymyr Zelensky calling the incident “typical Russian lies” and a senior EU official calling the alleged attack a “deliberate distraction”.
No official evidence of any American connection has been provided by the Kremlin in the incident; but if Washington is revealed to be directly involved in any attack on Putin, it is possible that this could lead to a direct conflict and the outbreak of World War III between the United States and Russia.
This comes after American special forces launched a daring operation against another world leader on January 3. Former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were kidnapped from the capital Caracas in the middle of the night and sent back to the United States to face court charges.
Firebrand presenter Vladimir Solovyov, known for his vocal threats to the West, including Britain, said the President Donald Trump I cannot say “Russia is telling the truth” regarding the drone attack on Putin’s house.
To talk Russian state televisionWhile Solovyov said, “(Trump’s) intelligence agency is lying,” he raised his voice and shouted angrily: “The CIA cannot tell the truth because one of the American experts is behind the attack on our president’s residence.
“Trump is playing political games, by the way, we are not helping him, we are not helping him at all… he may want our help but we don’t need to help him, we have to think about our national interest.”
Speaking to reporters earlier this month, Trump told reporters that U.S. officials had determined that Ukraine did not target a residence belonging to Putin and disputed the Kremlin’s claims, which Trump initially viewed with deep concern.
Trump’s downplay of the incident came after he initially said he was “very angry” about the allegation following a phone call with Putin following the alleged attack.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Ukraine launched a wave of drones at Putin’s state residence in the northwestern Novgorod region, which Russian defense systems managed to defeat. Lavrov also criticized Kiev for launching the offensive at a time of intense negotiations to end the war.
The claim came just a day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to Florida to meet with Trump about the US administration’s still-developing 20-point plan to end the war.
Trump said “something happened near” Putin’s residence, but American officials did not detect that the Russian President’s residence was targeted.
“I don’t believe the strike happened,” Trump told reporters as he returned to Washington on Air Force One after spending two weeks at his home in Florida.
He added: “Now that we can control it, we don’t believe it’s happening.”
European officials argued that Russia’s claim was nothing more than an effort to undermine Moscow’s peace efforts.
