Russia says it will help China overtake the United States on nuclear power

Moscow (Reuters) -Russia will help China to cross the US as the world’s largest nuclear energy producer.

The United States operates the world’s largest nuclear reactor network with approximately 97 Gigawatt (GW) capacity.

According to the US Energy Information Administration, China is competing to build dozens of reactors and as of April 2024, 53.2 GW operating operating nuclear power reactor capacity.
