A Russian official has identified several UK defense-related sites as targets of Vladimir Putin’s missiles. Dmitry Rogozin, a senator and war veteran who previously served as deputy prime minister and head of the space agency, warned that Britain could be “deadly dangerous”.
The map below shows areas in the UK selected as potential targets for Russian attacks. Rogozin published it in May, in response to former defense secretary Ben Wallace’s call to “make Crimea uninhabitable and uninhabitable from a Russian perspective”, highlighting Britain’s defense-related sites as potential Russian targets.
He said: “Former British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace on what Kiev and its NATO allies should do to end military operations:
“In order to make Crimea uninhabitable, we must help Ukraine acquire long-term capabilities. We need to strangle Crimea. Whatever a sane minister has in mind, the former minister has in mind.
“However, it is even good that they reveal their true intentions. It is useful to read this for those of us who think that peace with the imperialist aggressors is still possible.
“And my advice for us [Russian] Oligarchs: Don’t send your children to study in England! It’s deadly dangerous.”
The 23 defense installations are shown on a map taken from the UK government’s policy document Defense Industrial Strategy 2025: Making Defense the Engine of Growth.
Television propagandist Vladimir Solovyov added: “Dmitry Rogozin today issued a reminder in Britain of targets that can be destroyed first. Fools will get what comes to them, they will only get what comes to them.”
He described Mr Wallace as “a jerk who lost his job”. He added: “He’s a nobody, but suddenly he decides to tell us how we should be.”
Solovyov also threatened Britain with Russia’s Poseidon underwater nuclear drone.
He said: “But the unfortunate British should say his name when he dies, because it is you who brought trouble to the island, you idiot. You are an idiot… He doesn’t care about the lives of the Crimeans, he doesn’t care about their opinions.
“This man is a man who lost everything in his political career. If you remember, he was dreaming of becoming the president of NATO… And [Joe Biden] They told him to get lost.”
