Russian Official Says Trump, Putin May Meet Next Week

Washington: Russia’s Ambassador to UN Dmitry Polyanskiy said on Thursday that Russian President Vladimir Putin could meet with US President Donald Trump next week, but he was not aware of any meeting between Putin and Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

“As long as I hear, there are a few places, but they accepted something they don’t want to explain. Timeline, I think next week, but this is judging that the presidents say themselves.”

“I haven’t heard of any meeting with President Zelenskiy, but I’m not in the cycle.”

Since Putin and former President Joe Biden met in Geneva in June 2021, the US and Russian leaders had no summit.

In February 2022, Russia occupied Ukraine, called a threat to its security. Kyiv and Western allies threw the invasion as an imperial -style land.

Trump promised to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, but almost seven months left to the second period, and continues to be an unhealthy promise.

In his comments to journalists, Polyanskiy condemned any plan for Israel to seize the Gaza Strip.

“We think this is absolutely a very bad step in the wrong direction, and we condemn such actions,” he said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday, despite the global criticism of Israel’s almost two -year destructive attacks, which caused Israel’s hunger crisis and killed tens of thousands of people, Israel plans to seize all Gaza’s military control.
