Ryanair has issued a “please note” urging passengers to stop wearing a particular item on board.
Operating from a number of airports in the UK, including Belfast, Birmingham and Manchester, Ryanair is a favorite with British holidaymakers and tourists throughout the summer months.
With Easter now behind us and focus turning to the warmer months ahead, the budget airline has released an important update for travellers. It read: “Please note: Passengers do not look cool wearing sunglasses on board.”
Ryanair competes with Jet2, Easyjet and TUI, as well as British Airways, Wizz Air, Lufthansa and other budget and mid-range domestic and international operators.
Responding to the announcement, one holidaymaker commented: “I don’t understand why airlines don’t board from the back seats first. Getting on the plane will be so much quicker.”
Another traveler posted online: “No fuss with carry-on luggage etc. Why would anyone sit on a plane longer than necessary? Because it’s ‘priority boarding’.”

Another passenger said: “The biggest problem in most flights is ‘Carrying Luggage’. This slows down both the boarding process and the exit process.
“Passengers in the front half of the plane having to put their luggage in the back half of the plane causes chaos during landing. Especially the lethargic ones who insist on standing immediately upon landing, blocking the path to your bag.”
One amused commentator laughed: “This will be a blow to Tom Cruise – I think he’ll cancel all his Ryanair bookings then.”
“We should protect our eyes from that phosphorescent yellow cabin,” another holidaymaker said on social media.

“Looking around Ryanair requires a filter I’m afraid,” another passenger said with a chuckle in response to the Facebook post.
Another commented: “If it’s good enough for the driver, it’s good enough for the passengers.
“You don’t look good wearing them at home either…..” came another reply.
This follows our recently published summary of items that Ryanair now bans passengers from packing in their luggage and carry-on luggage.
Prohibited items include guns, firearms and other devices that launch projectiles. Devices that can cause or appear to cause serious injury by firing a projectile are also on the list.
