Safety recall made on Chickadees after rubber found in packets

An urgent safety appeal has been issued after the popular chicken-flavored snack was found to be contaminated with rubber.
Food Standards Australia has issued a safety recall for certain batches of Snackbrands Chickadees.
The recall was issued after manufacturers discovered that some corn- and rice-based snack packages may be contaminated with rubber.
A notice on the Food Standards Australia website urges anyone who purchased the affected brands to return them immediately for a full refund.
The batches are available nationwide in stores such as Woolworths, Coles and IGA.
The affected groups are as follows:
• Multipacks of 6x19g with expiration dates of 1 August, 8 August and 12 August
• 190g bags with expiration date of 15 August
• 90 g bags with an expiration date of December 12
• 45 gram bags with an expiration date of December 12
The FSA advises people not to eat the product and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Anyone experiencing health problems who believe they may have consumed the affected sachets should seek medical advice.
