World Cup winner to be voice of Heathrow Airport this Christmas

Rugby World Cup winner Ellie Kildunne will be the voice of Heathrow Airport this Christmas and the 26-year-old England star’s messages will be played over the public address system throughout the festive period.

Kildunne will tell travelers that “the world feels a little brighter at Christmas,” adding that for him the season is a time to “reconnect, recharge and remember what’s really important.”

Heathrow is currently preparing for its busiest festive season, with more than seven million passengers expected to travel through its four terminals throughout December.

Kildunne said: “Christmas is a time of celebration and I look forward to commemorating what an important year it has been for me.

“I’m honored to be joining the festivities at Heathrow this year; I’ll be on the tannoys to bring Christmas cheer to everyone, whether it’s passengers reconnecting with loved ones or passengers stepping onto holiday flights.”

Daniel Edwards, Heathrow Director of Services, said: “Christmas is a truly special time at Heathrow, as thousands of passengers reunite with loved ones and begin their festive journeys.

“By partnering with Ellie as Britain’s first voice, we’re adding a unique seasonal touch to the airport experience, which we hope will spark some cheer and get passengers into the Christmas spirit from the moment they arrive at Heathrow.”
