A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police also said a driver had been arrested on suspicion of attempting a Section 18 offense.
The full statement is as follows: “Two pedestrians, one woman and one man, were injured. It has been reported that the injuries are not life-threatening at this stage and are minor.
“A significant road closure has been implemented to support emergency services and investigation efforts. This closure remains in place but is expected to be lifted within the next hour.
“Investigations are ongoing. The driver has been arrested on suspicion of attempted Section 18 assault and his medical condition is currently being assessed.”
