One person has died and another is fighting for his life following a serious crash in Salford, Greater Manchester. Part of Cadishead Road was closed by police officers following the incident. It is blocked off by a massive cordon near the junction with Fairhills Road and Irlam Locks.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed one person had died and another was seriously injured. Police said on social media: “#INCIDENT | We are currently responding to a traffic accident on #Cadishead Road. Roads are closed in both directions. Please avoid this area where possible. Updates will be provided.”
