Salford Red Devils: Chief operating officer resigns after alleged misogynistic slur

In response to Bradbury’s allegations, a group of supporters – 1873 – held a planned meeting with the ownership of the club.
Before the fixture of Wakefield Trinity, a “peaceful protest march” is still going on and now they invited “all Ragbi League fans to stand with us”.
Salford’s statement, responding to Bradbury’s allegations, said, “Salford Red Devils, who left the club on 12 August 2025, was allegedly subjected to inappropriate verbal behavior by a former member of the club owners.
“Salford Red Devils strictly condemns all kinds of inappropriate language and behavior. We treat such claims with maximum seriousness and we are determined to ensure that our club environment remains respectful, professional and safe for all staff.
“In response to these allegations, we will conduct a comprehensive internal investigation. We are determined to determine the facts and take any necessary measures to address the situation. As soon as the investigation results, we will present a detailed report of our findings.”
Salford, which was taken over by a consortium just before the start of the season, had a number of financial problems this year and led to the majority of senior players and the struggling side bottom of the Super League.
Early on Thursday, before Bradbury’s resignation, the great Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham BBC Radio Manchester “watched the situation very closely” told.
After the gloomy 80-6 defeat at Hull FC last Sunday, the exit of five players and some of the cadres came together only for the first time on the bus, and the owners made a statement to say that they would not close despite the ongoing problems of the club on Monday.
Bradbury said that he and his colleagues worked under “impossible” conditions and “the spirit of the club was dismantled”.
“My decision to resign was not slightly taken.”
He continued: “This heartbreaking, but I think, I can not continue in a role that the foundations for professional success are not in place and the trust between leadership and staff is eroded.”
