Sam Neill dead: reports
According to a post on official social media channels, New Zealand-born actor, documentarian and winemaker Sam Neill has passed away.
“It is with great sadness that Whānau [extended family group] The post stated that Sam Neill would share the news of his passing on Monday, July 13, in Sydney Australia.
“Sam was surrounded by his family and lived with the dignity that characterized his entire life.
“The loss was sudden and unexpected but fortunately Sam remains cancer free. They would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their incredible care.
“More details will be shared later, but for now, on behalf of the family, we ask that you respect their privacy as we process this immeasurable loss.”
