“No one told you what to do. You weren’t doing it for anyone else. You decided to make some money by selling cocaine and that’s what you do for three weeks.
“I read a pre -sentence report that tells me your background. You had a terrible motorcycle accident that means you can’t work any more or you can’t pay your bills.
“He said he could do it, and you took it to yourself to do it. You were supplying people from your own phone line – you knew exactly what you were doing. You were involved in drug use and you knew how much money could be earned.
“I’m afraid people are always fighting for money and they don’t tend to sell classes to pay their bills. You decided to run your own mini drug operation.”
The judge acknowledged that there were significant delays in bringing the issue in front of the court and acknowledged that Roughley was trying to reverse his life in this period.
