San Diego freeway named nation’s most riskiest road for drivers this Halloween
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Halloween is a fun time for those who want to dress up in costumes, but it can also be a dangerous time when it comes to traveling.
recently Allstate conducted a study One of the riskiest roads in the country. San Diego’s Interstate 8 eastbound (Exit 7 to I-15N) topped the list.
The insurance company found that the riskiest time to travel on this stretch of I-8 is 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM Sunday through Thursday, while the safest time is 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM Monday through Friday.
Last week, La Mesa Police Officer Lauren Craven and the driver she assisted in a multi-vehicle crash were killed in that area on I-8.

With Halloween falling on a Friday this year, many drivers will be on the roads.
Allstate Drivewise, a safe driving program, shows that aggressive driving behavior is especially common in major U.S. cities on weekends, peaking between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Fatal car accidents also occur more frequently on weekendsIt peaks on Saturdays, according to federal crash data from the National Safety Council.
Other West Coast cities on the list include Phoenix (I-17N from Exit 223B to SR-74W) and Las Vegas (I-11N/US-95N from Exit 82A to Lake Mead Blvd E).
